Jamie Mason Cohen

helps leaders see what they can’t see on their own.

As a keynote speaker, mentor, and podcast host, Jamie is known for creating moments of clarity that change how leaders think, listen, and lead often in seconds.

A Meeting Planners International Speaker of the Year nominee, Dale Carnegie Business Training Award winner, and TEDx speaker with more than 2.4 million views, Jamie brings rare credibility from both boardrooms and high-stakes creative environments. He is a certified executive leadership coach with The Leadership Circle and the creator of Signature Leadership, a proven framework used by CEOs and senior leaders to communicate with clarity, mentor with intention, and lead under pressure.

Jamie has delivered leadership and mentorship culture keynotes and immersive workshops in over 30 countries, working with executives across healthcare, finance, technology, government, and professional services. His clients include Sun Life Financial, Novo Nordisk, Sanofi, Regeneron, Canada Life, Baker Tilly Accounting, Vistage, TEC Canada, University of Western Alumni Association, and the Ontario government.

Early in his career, Jamie worked behind the scenes with Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, observing how elite leaders mentor judgment when stakes are high and scripts don’t exist. That experience shaped his core message:

Leadership isn’t about having answers. It’s about mentoring people to think.

Jamie’s keynotes are known for being strategic, story-driven, and immediately actionable.

Audiences leave with language they use in boardrooms, frameworks leaders apply Monday morning, and a renewed understanding of how mentorship reduces burnout, strengthens succession, and builds cultures that outperform in uncertainty.

He is a frequent media commentator featured on CNN, Forbes, TED.com, and national broadcast outlets.

The Three Mentors Story

Jamie’s work is shaped by three mentors who appeared at different stages of his life—none of whom set out to mentor him, yet all of whom changed how he leads.

The first was his father, who once pointed out NHL coaches quietly taking notes at a youth hockey clinic. "The best in the world never stop learning,” he said.

The second was a professional hockey player who lived in Jamie’s basement as a teenager who spoke to him not as a kid, but as someone capable.

The third was backstage at Saturday Night Live, when a legendary performer took time to make a nervous young man feel seen and safe before a pivotal career moment.

That’s what mentorship is to Jamie. Not advice or authority, but helping people feel capable enough to take the next step on their own.

That belief now guides his work with leaders and organizations around the world.
